QUALITY
- YOUR BEST IMAGE
Have
you noticed that a revolution is taking place in America's industry?
To compete in the world economy, small and large businesses are
converting to Total Quality Management concepts. The object is to
do the job right the first time and continue to improve the quality
of the products and services to provide the very best image to the
customer.
Everyone
in the business benefits from quality. Whether your business involves
services, engineering, marketing, planning, manufacturing, or shipping;
quality assurance technology has benefits for you.
Yes,
quality is everyone's job because total quality involves all the
business functions. Quality depends on all stages of product, service,
development, and delivery. Total quality is achieved only if all
functions work together properly.
Your
career and future will benefit by your leadership in supporting
quality through the training of yourself or your personnel in:
- Quality
assurance principles
- Quality
control principles
- Quality
control applications
- Reliability
principles and practices
- Mechanical
inspection and test principles and practices
- Quality
auditing principles and practices
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How
can you help support quality in your career or business?
You
can support the quality professional in your organization by encouraging
membership in the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the ASQ
certification of the personnel in your quality organizations.
ASQ
is the professional organization that promotes quality and the quality
professional. ASQ provides a forum for the quality professional
to improve skills and job enrichment that improves the product or
service of his or her company. ASQ provides educational services
to you or your personnel. The ASQ San Antonio Section has a training
program that is tailored toward the certification of quality auditors,
quality engineers, reliability engineers, quality technicians, and
mechanical inspectors.
You
or your personnel will gain a sound understanding of quality assurance
principles, concepts, methodology, and processes used in the business
environment. In your highly competitive and fast changing economic
environment, this training will help you and your personnel to do
a better job in providing quality products and services. A better
job means fewer errors and more profits. Your career and America's
future depend on quality.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How
can the ASQ program be used?
For
your purposes, you may want to pick college courses that will help
you on the job. Consider job enrichment as first priority, closely
followed by courses that will enable you to pass a certification
examination of the American Society for Quality. When you have the
background, the ASQ provides the refresher courses to help prepare
you for the certification examination.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ASQ Courses
The
ASQ San Antonio Section supplements community college training by
providing refresher courses and professional development seminars
to aid the quality professional in passing the certification examinations.
During the Fall, Winter, and Spring of every year, the ASQ San Antonio
Section offers their training Seminars:
